We primarily offer trips on the South Fork of the Shenandoah between Luray, VA and Front Royal, VA, as well as the Upper Potomac between Harpers Ferry, WV and Point of Rocks MD. Depending on river levels, weather, and guest preference we have over 100 miles of water we can access - providing flexiblity to accomodate a wide range of conditions.

All necessary rods, reels, flies & terminal tackle is provided by your guide for your day on the river. Additionally, we provide water, soft drinks & light snacks for half day trips as well as a full riverside lunch for full day trips.

We always recommend sunscreen and a rain jacket regardless of the weather forecast as conditions can change rapidly.
Additionally, pants and a long sleeve sun shirt are highly recommended as protection from the sun on the water.
Rods & all necessary tackle are provided as part of the trip, but guests are welcome to bring their own rods if they would like.

Not at all! We welcome anglers of all skill levels and welcome the opportunity to introduce you to the sport of fly fishing.
Whether you’re brand new to fly fishing or a seasoned angler, we always aim to have our clients leave the boat with new skills & knowledge they can apply in their future pursuits.

Fly Fish Shenandoah is primarily a fly fishing guide service & we encourage all customers to take the opportunity to learn to fish with a fly rod.
That said, for guests under 12 years of age we are happy to accomodate conventional tackle fishing to ensure they get the most out of the experience.
